Secret Games (3) stolen kisses

Koko opened her eyes slowly and stretched, feeling a bit disoriented. Then she felt a hand on her waist, turned and saw him.

He was asleep, breathing softly. She raised her head and watched him, a little smile curving her lips as she remembered their night of passion together.

She snuggled close to him, her head on his chest, inhaling his scent, his chest rising with each breath he took.

From the pale light filtering in through the curtains in the window, she could tell it was nearly dawn.

As she rose from the bed, a hand drew her back.

 "Oh, you're awake," said Koko.

He smiled at her. "So, you were sneaking off, thinking I was asleep," Chuks said, as he held her close.

"Not really. I wanted to get my phone."

"Let your phone be. I need you here," he said, his hand slipping from her waist to her chest.

His cool fingers caressing her body sent tingles all over her, making her strain harder against him.

She moaned his name as he took her, her mind and body awash with sensations, lost in the moment and in him...

They fell asleep after and it was the persistent ringing of the phone that woke Koko up some hours later.

It was Chief. "How's my beautiful wife today?" he asked. "You sound sleepy. Are you still in bed by this time?"

"We slept late. The baby was crying and kept us awake."

"I see. How's he and Anna?"

"We slept late. The baby was crying and kept us awake."

"I see. How's he and Anna?"

As they spoke, Chuks woke up, kissed her on the cheek and went to the bathroom. Soon, she could hear the sounds of running water as he showered.

"Come home soon. The house is not the same without you," he said before ending the call.

She sat staring thoughtfully at the phone for a moment then got up and went to the bathroom. She stood by the door, watching him, noting the way the water cascaded over his head down his strong, powerful shoulders to his hips and legs.

His back was turned to her, his head facing up to the shower head to receive the spray of water on his face.

Koko picked a shower cap from the rail and with her hair covered, stepped inside. She slipped her hands round his waist and pressed her body against him.

He turned round slowly and held her by the waist.

"What did he say?" he asked, gazing at her through the spray of water.

"Nothing much. Just checking on me." She picked up the soap but he took it from her.

"Allow me." He began to soap her, starting from her neck and arms. Then he cupped her breasts, his thumbs rubbing her nipples till they hardened and her breathing quickened.

"Chuks," she said softly, drawing his head close and kissing him. She needed to dress up and go over to Anna's place to check on her and the baby especially since her husband, Dumo had travelled to his village for a burial but that could wait.

She wanted him there and then. He was like her fix that she had to have to feel fine...

   ***

"What did you say, Koko? You did what?" Anna asked. She hurriedly placed the baby on the bed and turned to her cousin in amazement, a shocked expression on her face.

Koko had just told her who she had been with the previous night.

"You heard me. Chuks and I spent the night together at the resort. We are staying there till tomorrow."

"But Chuks works for your husband. Are you telling me you're having an affair with your husband's staff?" she almost shouted.

 Koko nodded.

Anna shook her head. "That's deep. And crazy. I just don't..." She paused, seemingly lost for words, which was unusual for a loquacious person like her.

"I know," said Koko. "It's really crazy getting involved with him. But I can't seem to help myself. I think I'm in love with him."

"Wow! That's quick. You just started seeing him and you've already fallen for him?"

Koko shook her head. "My feelings for him have been growing for quite sometime. I kept fighting it but for how long could I do that?"

"Well, all I can say is, I hope you know what you are doing. You're an adult, not a child. I can't tell you how to live your life. But have you considered the consequences? Like what will happen if Chief finds out you're cheating on him? It won't be pretty I bet you."

"I know. We'll be careful, though, so he doesn't know about it. We won't be flaunting ourselves all over the place for sure!" she said, with a slight grin.

The baby woke up and began to cry. While Anna attended to him, she called Chuks. He had gone to town to see a friend and she wanted to find out if he was done so she could start heading back to the hotel.

She was already missing him and wanted to be with him though they had only be separated for a few hours...

  To be continued

What next? Will Chief find out about the affair between his wife and Chuks? Details coming soon!

Secret Games (2) like a dream

“Good evening, Chief,” Chuks greeted him, giving a slight bow. As he raised his head towards me, I felt a tingle in my body as his gaze met mine.
I stood transfixed, by the staircase, unwilling to leave the room now that he was around.
'Evening, Madam," he said. I nodded at him.
‘My God! What’s it about this man that makes him so irresistible to me?’ I thought as I stared right back at him over my husband’s head. There were so many things I wanted to say to him, but I could not especially with my husband around.
"Oh, you're here, Chuks," said my husband, dropping his glass and waving him to a seat.
"So, how did the meeting go?" Before he could reply, my husband called out over his shoulder:
"Koko dear, you should place an extra setting for dinner. Chuks is joining us."
"Ah, Chief! There's no need for that! I can always stop over at an eatery on my way home," he said.
He waved his objections away with his hand.

Secret Games (1) my love

He was sitting on the couch, his weak legs propped up on a low stool when she stepped quietly into the spacious room.

By his right, within easy reach on a side stool, was a bottle of brandy and a glass half filled with the golden liquid.

Koko sighed, knowing what that meant- he was in one of his 'moods.' He had them from time to time when the weight of his weak, helpless state preyed heavily on him.

He wanted to be up and doing the things he loved like playing tennis at the club with his friends, attending the occasional party with her and other fun things.

But since the accident several years before that had affected his spine, rendered him unable to walk and bound to a wheel chair, such activities were way off his reach.

Earlier, on the drive home from visiting her friend Osas, she had been in high spirits. A simple text message was the reason for her mood.

'Yes', the message said. Short, simple, concise. Yet loaded with meaning, enough to make her feel euphoric as if she had won the lottery.

Just thinking about it made her heart thump with excitement, full of anticipation and endless possibilities...

At last, she was going to get her heart's desires, what she had been longing for, dreaming about for so long. The man after her heart, her love...

Not even her sick, old husband sitting there, a dejected look on his face, was going to stop her.

Taking a deep breath, she walked up to him.

Tolani (2)

You might think I'm a weak man and an uncaring father for allowing my wife, Tolani to maltreat my son. It's not so. I had tried several times to stop her acts of wickedness against Akin.

On the other hand, I had reasoned that if she were his mother, would she not have the right to discipline him as she should? Besides, would she not feel slighted that I was trying to tell her how to run our home and sons?
So I looked the other way and that turned out to be a big mistake. Tolani became worse and more vicious.

She stopped giving my mother food and was starving my son as well. For his lunch box, instead of food, she would put only water! She took better care of her son and neglected mine.

In her silly mind, she thought all she had to do was make me happy by giving me food, sex, attention and neglect my son and mother and all would be well!

"You need to stop this bad behaviour of yours, Tolani. Akin is your son as well so treat him like one!" I admonished her.

She would apologise and behave well for a few days before relapsing to her bad old ways.

Tolani (1)

I lost my first wife a few years ago; she died during childbirth, bringing to an end five years of a blissful marriage. I was devastated by her death and for a long time, I was like a boat just floating aimlessly in the sea with no anchor. My life lost all meaning.

With time, though, I had to get myself together at least for the sake of my little boy, Akin who was just four years old then. He had lost his mother and I was all he had so I had to get on with life.

Two years after my wife died, I succumbed to pressure from my mother and friends to give marriage another shot. Mama had moved in with me so she could take care of my son while I was at work.

It was around this time I met and started a relationship with a lady named Tolani who is the reason for my present predicament.

My name is Abbey, a 35 years old Lagos-based businessman and this is my story:

  A fresh start
Tolani came into my life at a time I was ready to move on with life, to start afresh. She was a single mother of a little boy like my Akin. I fell for her and she seemed to love me too.

The Old Flame (9) the chosen one

                                                                                 ***

He was in a meeting with two staff members when she entered his office. He looked up, saw her and smiled. He beckoned on her to sit on the couch at a corner of the office.

When he was through, he came over to sit by her, giving her a quick hug and peck.

"I planned calling you at the end of the meeting and now you're here! How are you today, my baby?" asked Eric.

"Cool. Have you eaten? I thought we could do lunch. There's this new place Lola and Grace have been raving about," said Oluchi.

He glanced at his watch, then at her.

"I've to see my Director in the next one hour, so can't make it. How about we go there tomorrow. Ok?"

"Alright," she said. She gazed at him for a moment, then raised her hand to caress the smooth planes of his cheek.

"Why didn't you tell me?" she asked.

 He looked at her askiance.
 "What?"

"About the sack letters. I just found out about it today," she said. It was Tokunbo in HR she had got the information from.

It had been cloudy all morning with a hint of rain in the air. But by noon, the clouds had cleared and the sun shone bright, casting dazzling shadows on the trees and plants in the vacant plot of land.

Oluchi stood at her spot on the balcony in deep thought. Decision time had come and she could not avoid it anymore. She had been postponing making a choice but for how long? It was now or...

 Her phone rang.

The Old Flame (8) the heart's desire

'The heart wants what the heart wants'

                                                                                    ***
I nearly laughed out loud on seeing the look on Alero, my flatmate's face when she saw me with Eric at the door.

"I was about calling you to find out when you will be coming home," she said, gazing in amazement at us as we stepped into the living room.

 "Something came up," I said.

"I can see that," she said, a dry note in her voice, her expressive eyes speaking volumes as I introduced her to Eric. Though meeting him for the first time, she had seen his pictures in my album and was aware that we had met up again at work.

"What will you like to take?" I asked Eric as he sat down.

 "Just water."

The Old Flame (7)

                                                                              ***

His fingers caressed my face in a slow, sensual manner and for a moment I luxuriated in the old familiar tingling feeling whenever he touched me. His hand moved down to my mouth and...

I saw the look of longing in his eyes and that brought me abruptly back to reality.

I flung his hand away and took a quick step back.

"What do you think you're doing Eric?" I asked hotly.

"What does it look like?" His voice was soft and caressing. "Looking at you, Oluchi, being so close brings back memories of when we were together, how things were between us..."

I took a deep breath and said in a determined manner:

"As I said, it's all in the past now. I've put everything behind me and..." I wanted to sound convincing and I hoped he would believe me. But in my heart, I knew I was not being truthful to myself.

"But I can't!" "he said. "Seeing you again has made me realise what a fool I was to let you go.
Thing is, Oluchi," he said, taking a step towards me. "I want you back! I still love you and I want you in my life again!"

The Old Flame (6) can't let go

I went to Eric's bedroom and lying on his bed as if she owned the place was Timi. Just then, Eric came in from the bathroom, a towel tied round his waist. I remember screaming, 'No'
and ran out of the house as if pursued by demons.

I was beyond devastated by that incident- my best friend sleeping with my guy that I loved so much, that meant the world to me? I fell ill from the shock and it took me a long time to recover both physically and emotion wise. I felt betrayed.

Eric later came to plead with me, stating it was temptation, that it was Timi that kept throwing herself at him and begging him to date her.

I was not interested in his excuses and dumped him. As for Timi, it was over with our friendship and we barely spoke to each for the rest of our stay in school. After Eric, I found it difficult trusting guys and stayed off dating for a long time.
